First of all man, you could have made it a bit more elegant and sign your name with Gogobell (talk) 16:47, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Second of all, we're almost all bureaucrats. A "week block" ? That's kind of funny. Should I remind you that ADMINS and BUREAUS cannot be blocked ? Staff can't remove your rights unless there's a voting poll or a community concensus. And that takes already 2-3 days. And Staff won't take the time to "remove your rights for a week because of a dispute". It certainly does not work like that. Oh, and admins/bureaus will not block/demote themselves for a week....come on man ? Who does that ?
Like I said earlier, the accors are ridiculous cause they're impossible to follow in the slightest way. And they won't really change anything. But, at least I see the effort to do so.
As far as the blocking thing, you suggested yesterday that you'd block Torsita, who is bureau, for 2 weeks. There's very few scenarios in which blocking an admin is ever appropriate, but in the rare case that there is one, it may be worthwhile to tell the admin to take a week off, regroup, and then come back. That's why I said no more than 1 week.
I know they can be circumvented, but having something there to give a guideline will be more helpful than not in the future.
Best said that a comment of theirs was deleted. It was about not wanting to move to your wiki. You can't use your Bureaucratic powers like that. This is your first warning. People can have their own opinions. You can't force them to go to your wiki and leave this one.
Excuse me Torsita ? You better calm down RIGHT NOW and get off your high horse.
What I DELETED was the long blog I posted about the wiki move, because we reposted it as a smaller post. Padsquad and I agreed to it. His comment was a comment of my blog, so yes, automatically, it got deleted. The delete wasn't personally against his comment.
If you slightly knew how to use bureaucrat rights, then you would have found that out in his deleted contributions. But hey....everyone's still learning, right ?
So give me a break. And start learning on how to use your rights.
This starts with these three comments by Best to Gogobell's first announcement.
"Sorry but I dont think I wanna join this wikia."
"Im kinda leaving this wikia anyway I just have not made a post."
"Id rather just go to the actual wikia for my fandoms then have all properties on one wikia."
Then, Gogobell deletes his announcement that Best replied to. As a result, All replies are deleted including Best's.
Today Best figures out his comments were deleted.
Then, the comment chain currently existing and this thread happen.
The three parties that have issues are Best, Torsita, and Gogo.
Best jumped to conclusions. Best does this a lot, and with proper explanation, you can usually get him to understand why his conclusion was incorrect or at the very least misleading. Might take a few tries.
Torsita, you didn't look into why Best's comments might have been deleted. If you had looked, you would have found that Gogobell didn't delete Best's comment. He deleted his own long comment, Which Best replied to. Your comment that Gogo has shown was out of place, as you accepted Best's view before considering all possibilities.
Gogo, I'll be honest, I half expected to look at this and see that you had exploded in anger from the argument with Torsita. You have appropriately responded to Best. And mostly, you've been reasonable with Torsita. Your language could've had a bit less attitude, but wasn't excessive.
It's fixed with Best. If you check the comments, he says that he "wasn't trying to point any fingers" so we should leave him out of this. Plus, I also told him that his error was understandable and that it was fine since he didn't have access to those advanced admin functions.
Okay Gogo... Many issues with what you said. For one thing, YOU are the one who needs to calm down... I made a mistake, okay? No need to blow up about it! I apologize... I jumped to conclusions. I didn't look into the deletion of the comment enough. I know what to do now, in case this ever happens again. I retract the warning (And you should too). That other comment was out of line...
Is there any way that the invitation to join the Immersive Communities wiki can be smaller?
I saw you reposted it, and that's all well and good, but we've already got that wiki going. We don't need all the information on what it is anymore. Even if they don't see the whole thing, anyone who finds this wiki should still be able to easily find that the community moved there, and they should be able to figure out what it is fairly quickly if they're interested.
I'm gonna basically delete it for now, but I'll leave a basic message still in the comment. If you disagree with my reasoning, I'd love to talk about it.
I'm sorry for my adsense on The Imersive Cummunities Wiki but my browser got reset on my phone a day so ago and now 8 have to re get every tab I previously had up. Can you give me a link back so I can easily get there again?
I know it'll probably be a while until you see this, but as of now Hurricane Irma has just destroyed vast portions of Sint Maarten. I just want you to know I'm thinking about you and your family. I know you are safe in Montréal, but I hope everyone else you know on Sint Maarten is as well.
